Missouri finished the fall on a run. Arkansas were beaten 51–0, and the following weekend the Tigers traveled to Manhattan to face a Kansas State side they had drawn 17–17 with earlier in the season, with the winner taking the No. 2 seed in the South Division. Across those two matches Missouri scored 101 points and conceded 7.
In March the club went to Memphis for the Bluff City sevens and won it, taking pool wins over Memphis B, Arkansas (29–5) and defending national sevens champion Sam Houston State (10–7) before beating the host side 19–12 in the final.
There was more sevens silverware that spring. Missouri finished runners-up at Rolla and at Kansas City, where they beat Benedictine 29–7 and Southern Nazarene 24–14 before losing to Air Force 31–12. At the Heart of America sevens on April 22 the Tigers beat Iowa 34–14 and Kansas 26–17, and lost to Iowa State, Minnesota and Nebraska. At the Collegiate Rugby Championship in Washington DC they shut out Boston College 19–0 and Bowling Green 28–0 and edged Maryland 7–5, losing only to UConn.
The 2022 Heart of America all-conference selections included C.J. Corcoran and Jacob Reuter, with Braydon Leggett and Remington Wilson named as reserves.
