Mizzou Rugby Season Archive
Match results recovered from the Mizzou Rugby Old Boys archive.
The season resumed after a year lost to the pandemic. Missouri went to Lawrence for the border match on Kansas Rugby's alumni day and lost 23–12, playing without their scrum-half and back captain and losing three more starters to injury during the match. Down 23–0 with twenty minutes left, the Tigers scored twice and converted. “If we had played the entire match like the last 20 minutes, it wouldn't even have been close,” Corwin wrote.
Conference documentation fills in the rest of the fall. Missouri had opened a week before Lawrence by putting 41 points on Oklahoma State, then lost four in a row — narrowly to Kansas State, heavily to Arkansas, and by eleven to Iowa in November.
The spring was better. At the Heart of America sevens Missouri beat Iowa to reach the semi-finals and lost there to Iowa State; conference records list the Tigers third.
