The club's spring came down to the Easter Ruggerfest in Forest Park. Missouri reached the quarter-finals before going out to the St. Louis Black Sheep on a call the players never accepted — Doug Littlefield remembered the side being “cheated out of going to the semi final with Donny Camp's bogus out of bounds call on the one yard line,” and broke his back in four places in the same match. They were, he noted, the first college team to make it as far as the quarter-finals.
