Sixty years ago, a group of students laid the foundation for something much bigger than a rugby club. They built a brotherhood—one forged through hard-fought matches, muddy pitches, lifelong friendships, and an unwavering pride in wearing the Black and Gold. Every generation since has added another chapter to that story, and now, as we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Mizzou Rugby, we invite you to come home and be part of one of the most significant weekends in our club's history.
Whether you played in the 1960s, 1980s, 2000s, or just a few seasons ago, this weekend is about reconnecting with teammates, honoring those who came before us, and inspiring those who will carry Mizzou Rugby into its next sixty years. The legacy of this club belongs to every player who ever wore the jersey, and we hope you'll help us celebrate what we've built together.
Friday, October 16, 2026 – Alumni Dinner
CC's Broiler – Columbia, Missouri
Our celebration begins Friday evening with an alumni dinner at CC's Broiler. This special evening will include the inaugural induction ceremony for the Mizzou Rugby Hall of Fame, recognizing individuals whose dedication and achievements helped shape the history of our club. We will also unveil and auction a limited collection of 60th Anniversary University of Missouri Rugby jerseys, created exclusively for this milestone celebration. It promises to be an unforgettable night filled with stories, laughter, memories, and the opportunity to reconnect with teammates from across six decades. Dinner & Open Bar: $100 per person
Saturday, October 17, 2026 – Rugby, Brotherhood & Celebration
Gans Creek Recreation Area, Field 4 – 3350 E. Gans Rd, Columbia, MO 65201
Saturday belongs to rugby. The day kicks off at 12:30 PM with a Calcutta Auction, where you can bid on the first Mizzou Rugger to score. Then come cheer on the current Mizzou side as they take on our longtime rivals from the University of Kansas. Following the collegiate match, we'll lace up the boots once again for an alumni match featuring Mizzou Rugby Alumni, Kansas Rugby Alumni, and the Columbia Outlaws Rugby Club. Whether you're taking the field or cheering from the sidelines, this match is about celebrating the game and the friendships it has given us.
Following the matches, we'll continue the celebration with a barbecue and open bar at Gans Creek Recreation Area, giving everyone plenty of time to reconnect, swap stories, and enjoy an afternoon with generations of Mizzou Rugby players. Saturday Match Participation, BBQ & Open Bar: $75 per person
This anniversary is more than a reunion—it is a celebration of the people who built Mizzou Rugby and an opportunity to ensure its future remains as strong as its past. The club stands today because of the commitment, sacrifice, and passion of generations of alumni. As we celebrate sixty remarkable years, we also look ahead to the next sixty. Your presence matters. Bring your teammates, bring your family, and help us make this the largest gathering of Mizzou Rugby alumni in our history.
To reserve your spot for Mizzou Rugby history, you can Venmo your advanced reservation for $175 for both dates. If you can only make one or other date, pay $75 or $100 (depending on which day you are attending) dollars and designate which event you are reserving. Click Venmo link below. Lastly, due to venue size and the amount of interest, the alumni dinner on Friday night is reserved just for the alumni (sorry guys, no plus ones). Please reserve and pay early as there will be a cutoff based on the venue size, so the first 100 alumni who reserve and pay for the alumni dinner will have reserved seats.
